Best Time to Visit Lohardaga
The average annual temperature of this city is about 23°C. It is quite hot during the summer season, while winters are relatively cooler and pleasant. Also the pattern of rainfall here varies from one year to another and is highly uncertain. The most appropriate time to visit this city would therefore be during winter, in the months of October and November, when the climate here is enjoyable and you can indulge in sight-seeing and shopping, to the fullest.

Hordes of visitors flock to this temple to participate in the festivities during the Shravan Purnima fair and Jagannath Rath Yatra. Khakparta temple is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located atop a small hillock, in the Khakparta village, near the city of Lohardaga. It is known for its scenic beauty and tranquil ambience. There is a Mahamaya Prabhu Mandir at Korambe, along with many historic and tourist attractions nearby. Sankat Hanuman temple, Gel Church, Elohims Pentecoastal Church are among the other popular places of worship in this city.
Ajay Udyan is a beautiful park established in the name of martyr SP Ajay Kumar Singh. As Lohardaga does not have its own airport, the Birsa Munda Airport at Ranchi, located at a distance of about 77 kilometres from the city is the airport nearest to Lohardaga. Also this city is connected to the city of Ranchi by metre gauge railway line. Bus and taxi services offered by private travel agencies can be availed to reach nearby tourist destinations.
